Bengals

So our three little AlleyKatz we have are in theory pedigree Bengals. Somewhere along the line that little snippet of information seems to have been removed from their brains. One in particular, Astarte, is the biggest alleycat around hunting for every last piece of human food around. Now that we're cleared up that little misconception, please meet our Bengals. You met these three on the home page.

Astarte (Starti)
Omar (Big O)
Malika (Ems)

Molly Tabit (Tabs)
Now please meet the other two girls : Living with these bigguns made us realise just how great they are and three was just not enough. Tabs and Sparky were brought in to be our breeding queens - then we decided just to keep them as family.
Silver Sparkle (Sparky)
Blade (Blade)
Omar being totally outnumbered by the girls we decided to add another boy to the family. We looked for ages before finding Blade - this time from Queen Anne Bengals, whose silver kittens have the prefix Hallmark.
Will there be a 7th ??

We did have another silver girl HipHop Mintaka (Tinks).  Tinks and Starti have the same mum - Katy.  Tinks and Sparks have the same dad - Plat.   We began to notice that Tinks was not too happy with herself and was very crotchety with the other cats.  She was great with humans, just did not want other cat company - difficult in a family of six.  She has now been rehomed with friends and is having a great time being the one and only... and is spoilt rotten.
HipHop Mintaka (Tinks)

Martouf (Touf)
Sadly we lost 2 of our boys to FIP at a very early age - just 24 weeks. Touf was going to be a stunning cat. And Kheps, who was Starti's brother was such a friend to Ems.
Khepra (Keps)

Bengals - a cross between an Asian Leopard Cat and a domestic cat. We had wanted to add a Bengal to the family for so long and put off as we did not want to upset Skamp (see the write up on Skampsweb) by bringing a new cat into the house where he had been boss for so long. So we really don't know what made us start looking for a suitable breeder early in 2004. After doing the inevitable www seaching and sending a few emails we made an appointment to go to a local breeder to see if bengals and us would be compatible. We selected 2 kittens - hoping that this would help ease them into the home.  Then only three weeks later, before these new kittens could join us, Skamp died. Maybe it was fate, maybe he had sent us to look for them knowing he was not going to be around for that much longer.
